Attractions Crescent City
for your North Coast Vacation
Attractions Crescent City and things to do on your North Coast vacation don't have to just include the outdoors.
Battery Point Lighthouse
Operating Lighthouse-said to be Haunted
Guided Tours available
Serving mariners for nearly a century, the Battery Point Lighthouse provides warning to seafarers of "danger ahead" on our rocky coastline.
The attractions Crescent City; the lighthouse which houses a museum with historical displays and a resident “ghost“, or so the folk lore goes, is on a spit of land accessible only at low tide.
To reach the lighthouse, follow Front Street (at the stoplight) west from Highway 101 just north of the harbor and turn south on A Street to the parking lot adjacent to the western jetty.
Mind the “keep off” signs on the jetty during stormy weather. There is a picnic area and public restrooms on shore.

North Coast Marine Mammal Center
Gifts, marine animal rescue
Started several years ago by a small group of locals who cared about the marine mammals washing up on the beaches nearby, or the abandoned babies seals people find while taking hikes along our coastline.
This organization has rescued, and nurtured stranded or injured wildlife, especially seals which are released back into the ocean as soon as possible.
Stop by and see if they have any babies in their outdoor holding pens. Attractions Crescent City wouldn't be complete without a visit to see live seal lions or other live creatures
